IMPORTANT UPDATES

Order fulfillment times are longer than usual. As both external events and internal considerations affect our operations, delays may be experienced. While our current turnaround time is approximately 1-4 business days from when the order is received, it may be shorter or longer as conditions change. We thank you and appreciate your patience.

  • Orders may be placed on the website or via phone. Email orders accepted only for wholesale accounts with terms.
  • Once an order is placed, we cannot accept add-ons. If you need to order more product, simply place another order and we will get it out as soon as possible.
  • Please ensure your order is correct. CAREFULLY REVIEW your shopping cart before you make your purchase.
  • Please ensure that your shipping address is correct and that all required details are filled out. If you get a pop-up at checkout saying your address cannot be validated, please check your address. This pop-up means your address is not recognized and shipments will be delayed. Orders with missing recipient name may be modified to include the name from the billing address in order to ship.
  • Please note that UPS, FedEx and USPS are still struggling to meet guaranteed transit times.
  • INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Canadian customers can order directly online at herbalist-alchemist.com. All customs charges are the responsibility of the customer. All international shipments are final sale, non-returnable and non-refundable. International ordering outside of the US and Canada is not available online at this time. Please fill out the International Quote Request Form. Orders must be prepaid by credit card or in U.S. funds by calling Customer Service directly at 908-689-9020.   •  EXPEDITED SHIPPING DOES NOT MEAN EXPEDITED PROCESSING. If you have chosen expedited shipping, we will ship the order expedited once it has completed our normal processing (usually 1-3 business days). Please note that UPS, FedEx and USPS are still struggling to meet guaranteed transit times.
SHIPPING/PAYMENT
  • We accept orders by mail accompanied by check or money order and telephone or online orders charged to PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We are not able to process HSA (Health Savings Account) credit cards at this time.
  • PAYPAL EXPRESS: Orders paid via Paypal Express are charged at time of order and are considered prepaid. No modifications can be made to Paypal Express orders. If a Paypal Express order must be cancelled for any reason, refunds take approximately 7-14 business days to process. Please review your cart carefully and ensure that all shipping information, applied discounts and item quantities & sizes are correct. We do not accept Paypal Express payment for international orders.
  • C.O.D. Wholesale Accounts: No 3rd party C.O.D.’s accepted. C.O.D. charge is in addition to shipping charge and is equal to the current rate charged by UPS. Please call for current C.O.D. rate.
  • Expedited shipping options are available. Please note that UPS, FedEx and USPS are still struggling to meet guaranteed transit times.
  • Accounts filed for collection are responsible for all legal fees incurred by Herbalist & Alchemist.
  • Wholesale orders under $50.00 will have a $15.00 flat rate for shipping. Wholesale orders between $50.00 - $199.99 have a flat rate of $10.00 for shipping. Wholesale orders of $200.00 or more have free ground shipping within the continental US except for orders containing gallon sizes.
  • All prices are reflected in US Dollars.
  • Herbalist & Alchemist accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. We are not able to process HSA (Health Savings Account) credit cards at this time.
  • Please be aware that Herbalist & Alchemist is not responsible for any customs duties, confiscation of goods, charges or time delays that may be imposed upon your shipment.
  • Herbalist & Alchemist is not responsible for lost packages or damages that may occur during shipping.
  • Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM -5:00 PM (GMT -5 time zone).
  • We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and major USA holidays.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
  • All international shipments are final sale, non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • All prices are reflected in US Dollars.
  • Only Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards are acceptable for payment. HSA (Health Savings Account) credit cards cannot be processed at this time. We currently do not accept Paypal for international orders.
  • Your signature may be needed to deliver your package(s).
  • Herbalist & Alchemist is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages, customs duties, clearance fees, broker fees, confiscation of goods, charges or time delays that may be imposed upon your shipment.
  • There will be additional fees that are not the responsibility of Herbalist & Alchemist. Check your local customs office for information regarding this as well as if the product can be imported into your country.
  • Shipments are restricted to a maximum of 192 fl. oz. per box. Additionally, all bottles must be 16-ounce sizes or smaller.
  • No changes can be made to international quotes. All shipping prices are based upon the weight and dimensions of the box in which the order ships. Any changes will require a new quote.

Out of Stock

If we are temporarily out of stock on a product you may re-order that product on your next order. There will be no backorders.

Botanical Characteristics

Our website lists botanicals in our products by both their common name and their Latin binomial as found in the American Herbal Products Association’s Herbs of Commerce publication. Note that depending upon availability we may occasionally substitute another species. We will only use species with similar activity or make other changes if approved by our herbalist, David Winston RH(AHG). If such a species is not available, we will not make the product until an approved species becomes available. Our website also lists our most frequent fresh or dried botanical selection. Note that due to seasonal availability we may substitute fresh for dried or dried for fresh botanicals, if approved by David Winston RH(AHG). Plant part descriptions may change slightly depending on whether we are using fresh or dried plant material. All of our labels reflect specific lot characteristics.

Botanical (Latin) Names

Please be aware that Latin names change. Older reference books often have out of date names and more current reference materials may or may not have the current species name. We generally use current Latin names, unless an older name is so well known that it would be confusing to list the newer name. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Although we strive to maintain constant prices, they are subject to change without notice.

RETURN POLICY

Herbalist & Alchemist believes that quality is the responsibility of every employee and must never be compromised. We are committed to producing the highest quality products available. If you are not 100% satisfied with our product, please Email sales@herbalist-alchemist.com or call 1-800-611-8235 to speak to a customer service representative.

For our staff to consider a credit/exchange/partial credit/refund/partial refund/store credit please ensure you are familiar with the following information.

All returns must be

  • Pre-approved by Herbalist & Alchemist
  • Requested by the party to whom the invoice was billed
  • In unused, sellable condition (unopened, unmarked, original undamaged packaging)
  • Reported within 60 days of invoice date
  • Accompanied by a return authorization number that will be provided by approval from Herbalist & Alchemist

Special Order Formulas and sizes 16-ounces and larger are non-returnable

Products that are past the best by date will not be considered eligible for credit/exchange/partial credit/refund/partial refund/store credit

To provide a return authorization number, the customer service agent will need

  • The reason for the return
  • Information from the bottle such as the product name, size, lot number, best by date, and bottling code
  • The name of the party who purchased the product
  • The best phone number to reach the party who purchased the product

All returns (excluding defective items and those that are a result of an error by Herbalist & Alchemist) are subject to a 20% restocking fee and are returned at the buyer’s expense.

We may require digital photo(s) for returns that are due to defect or error on the part of Herbalist & Alchemist before we issue a call tag for collection.

Your return must

  • Be packed in a box
  • Be properly cushioned to avoid breakage during return shipping
  • Have a copy of your invoice with the return authorization number written on it inside the box
  • Be received at Herbalist & Alchemist within 30 days of approved return authorization
  • Be returned using trackable shipping service. Shipping cost is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise authorized

A refund will not be issued for any returned item that is damaged during shipping to Herbalist & Alchemist.

Return for Purchases from Third-Party Sellers

Products purchased from a Health Food Store, Practitioner, Amazon.com, Inc. or other third-party seller must be returned to the original place of purchase.

International Returns

All International purchases are final and products are not returnable. (Excluding defective items and those that are a result of an error by Herbalist & Alchemist)

Damages/Discrepancies:

Please report damaged goods and/or discrepancies immediately upon receipt. H&A is only responsible for orders once they get to the shipping address on the order. We are not responsible for orders that have been shipped onward using a third-party freight forwarding company. Herbalist & Alchemist must file a claim with the carrier within 72 hours of proof of delivery. For us to file a claim with the carrier, the original packaging and damaged merchandise must be saved. The carrier requires 7 digital photos of damaged merchandise to file a claim. Please email digital photos to sales@herbalist-alchemist.com.

  • Photo 1 – Damaged merchandise inside the original box with all the original cushioning
  • Photo 2 – Close-up image of damaged merchandise
  • Photo 3 – Packaging material used inside the box (e.g. bubble wrap/packing peanuts/cardboard dividers, etc)
  • Photo 4 – The shipping label with the tracking number (please zoom-in to read the tracking number)
  • Photo 5 – Close-up photo of the box manufacturer’s certificate (BMC). The BMC is a round stamp that details either the bursting strength of the box or the edge crush rating of the box. The BMC is generally found on the bottom flap on the outside of a corrugated cardboard box.
  • Photos 6 & 7 – Displaying all sides of the package (one photo should display the top and two sides. The second photo should display the bottom and the opposite two sides)

There will be a $30 charge for returned checks.

SMS Services Description: We may send marketing and non-marketing Messages, through the SMS Services which may include transactional Messages. Marketing Messages advertise and promote our products and services and may include promotions, specials, other marketing offers, abandoned checkout reminders and other relevant information. Transactional Messages relate to an existing or ongoing transaction and may include updates and other transaction-related information. Messages may be sent using an automated technology, including an autodialer, automated system, or automatic telephone dialing system. Message frequency will vary. You agree that we and our third-party service providers may send you Messages regarding the foregoing topics and that such Messages and/or calls may be made or placed using different telephone numbers or short codes. We do not charge for Messages sent through the SMS Services but you are responsible for any Message and data rates imposed by your mobile provider, as standard data and Message rates may apply for short Message alerts. We do not share text message opt-in consents or related mobile telephone numbers with third parties, except with our service providers and vendors to provide our SMS Services.

Eligibility: To receive SMS Services, you must be a resident of the United States and 18 years of age or older.

User Opt-In: By providing your mobile phone number to us, you are voluntarily opting in to the SMS Services and you agree to receive recurring Messages from us at the mobile phone number associated with your opt-in, even if such number is registered on any state or federal “Do Not Call” list. You represent that any mobile phone number you provide to us is a valid mobile phone number of which you are the valid account owner or authorized user. If you change your mobile phone number or are no longer the valid account owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number, you are responsible for notifying us immediately at herbalist@herbalist-alchemist.com. You agree to indemnify us in full for all claims, expenses, and damages related to or caused in whole or in part by your failure to notify us if you change your mobile phone number including, but not limited to, all claims, expenses, and damages related to or arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Your use of the SMS Services is not required to make any purchase from us and your use of the SMS Services is completely voluntary.

User Opt-Out and Support: You may opt-out of the SMS Services at any time. If you wish to opt-out of the SMS Services and stop receiving Messages from us, or you no longer agree to these SMS Terms, reply STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, OPT-OUT, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any Message from us. You may continue to receive Messages for a short period while we process your request and you may receive a one-time opt-out confirmation message. You understand and agree that the foregoing is the only reasonable method of opting out. If you want to use the SMS Services again, just opt-in as you did the first time, or text START to a Message sent by us, and we will start sending Messages to you again. For support, reply HELP to any Message from us.

The SMS Services may not recognize requests that modify the foregoing commands, and you agree that we and our service providers will not be liable for failing to honor requests that do not comply with the requirements in these SMS Terms. We may also change the telephone number or short code we use to operate the SMS Services and we will notify you of any such change. You acknowledge that any requests sent to a telephone number or short code that has been changed may not be received by us and we will not be responsible for failing to honor a request sent to a telephone number or short code that has been changed. Disclaimer of Warranty and Liability: The SMS Services are offered on an “as-is” basis and may not be available in all areas, at all times, or on all mobile providers. You agree that neither we nor our service providers will be liable for any failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any Message or information sent through the SMS Services. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, we are not responsible and will not be liable for any damages of any nature, including without limitation any incidental, special or consequential damages (such as lost profits or lost business opportunities), punitive damages or attorney’s fees.

Modifications: We may revise, modify, amend, suspend or cancel all or any part of the SMS Services or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these SMS Terms at any time. Any such modification will take effect when it is posted to our website or websites associated with the SMS Services. You agree to review these SMS Terms periodically to ensure that you are aware of any modifications.
