About Black Cohosh
Black Cohosh is a perennial flowering plant native to Eastern North America. Its distinctive columns of delicate white blossoms and deep green foliage are a sight to behold. Native Americans discovered its usefulness and it was from them that the Thompsonian, Eclectic and Physiomedicalist physicians learned the use of this plant. David Winston notes that while it may be used on its own, Black Cohosh root is much more effective in supporting the natural and normal changes of menopause* when combined into an herbal formula with other herbs such as Chaste Tree berry and DongQuai.
