Many thanks to our friends at Prevention Magazine for their terrific article on pg.113 of the June issue: "Artichoke Quells Indigestion" about historical and researched uses of Artichoke!

First we make a traditional style low alcohol "bitter" extract of fresh organic artichoke leaves. Then, we make a second extract from freshly dried organic artichoke leaves, using higher alcohol levels. Our final product is a blend of both.

The second extract methodology was developed  with our Scientific Research Partners at Rutgers University’s New Use Agriculture and Natural Plant Products Department. This process was developed to replicate phyto-constituent profiles found in artichoke extracts used in studies that show a reduction in cholesterol levels.
