Bladderwrack is a common seaweed, rich in minerals
and trace elements. It has a long history of use as an alterative
and nutritive herb. In small amounts it can mildly stimulate
underactive thyroid function, especially in people with iodine or
trace mineral deficiencies. This “brown” seaweed contains immune
enhancing polysaccharides as well as potassium iodide, which show
inhibitory activity for some types of cancer. |
