Indicated for
menopausal hot flashes and PMS symptoms such as mood swings and
edema. It is useful to mediate the after effects from birth control
pills and rebalance the hormones. Normalizes pituitary activity
especially relating to progesterone levels. In men chaste berry
decreases excessive sexual desire, and in some pubescent boys with
acne it reduces outbreaks.

Dong Quai

A popular
Chinese herb often used to revitalize and move blood (xue). Because
of this activitiy it is often used for female reproductive problems
such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, menopausal discomfort, PMS,
amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea. It is also useful for menstrual or
menopausal constipation.

Blue Vervain

An
underutilized medicine especially useful for spasmodic nervous
disorders. It is indicated for some types of petit mal epilepsy
(especially if associated with menses), PMS and menopausal anxiety,
and irritability associated with fevers and flu.

Black Cohosh

(Actaea racemosa) * |
An emmenagogue,
antispasmodic, oxytocic and partus preparator indicated for cases of
dysmenorrhea with scanty flow, amenorrhea, muscular pain in the
back, pelvis and thighs, post partum pain and pain from salpingitis.
This herb is also indicated for rheumatic neuralgia, fibromyalgia,
muscular pain and cases where the muscles feel bruised.

Indicated for
heart diseases of nervous or drug origin (coffee, tobacco, etc.),
nervous tachycardia, palpitations, feeble and irregular pulse, and
shortness of breath with mild exertion.
