Recommendations |
Decrease exposure to dietary and
exogenous estrogens by decreasing intake of commercial meats, eggs
and dairy (use organically grown only). Avoid exposure to
chlorinated water, pesticides, herbicides, microwaving foods in
plastic, etc. Normalize bowel transit time by increasing bulk
(soluble fiber) and bitters. This helps prevent the reabsorption of
hormones into the portal vessel. Increase dietary consumption of
isoflavones (phytoestrogens) by eating legumes, fermented soy
products, carob, kudzu, red clover, peas, sprouts, etc. A good whole
foods diet rich in dark green leafy vegetables, whole grains, nuts,
seeds and deep sea fish (no farm-raised fish) is beneficial. |
